Supplement 1 (2025): Conference Proceedings
Vol. 3 No. 3 (2025)The Conference Proceedings and Abstracts Book (2023–2025) of the Multidisciplinary Journal of Horseed International University presents a curated collection of scholarly abstracts and selected papers arising from the Conference on European and African Studies (CEAUS), conducted annually between 2023 and 2025 under the Jean Monnet Project in EU–Africa Studies. The conferences were hosted by Horseed International University in Mogadishu, Somalia, with the support of the European Union, and served as a sustained academic platform for multidisciplinary dialogue on EU–Africa relations.
This volume reflects the intellectual outcomes of three consecutive research conferences that brought together academics, policymakers, practitioners, and postgraduate students to engage in critical examination of European Union–Africa cooperation through a multidimensional and comparative approach. The contributions span diverse thematic areas, including governance and accountability, peacebuilding and human rights, economic development, infrastructure, education, humanitarian action, and institutional capacity building, with particular emphasis on Somalia and the Horn of Africa.
All abstracts included in this proceedings underwent an academic and editorial screening process coordinated by the Scientific Committee to ensure thematic relevance, scholarly coherence, and methodological clarity. The published abstracts represent original research and analytical work presented during the conferences and revised in response to session discussions and editorial guidance.
By documenting the scholarly outputs of the Jean Monnet Project, this proceedings volume contributes to strengthening academic discourse on EU–Africa relations from an African and Somali perspective. It is intended for researchers, policymakers, students, and institutions seeking evidence-informed insights into regional integration, development cooperation, and global partnership frameworks. The volume is assigned an ISBN to support institutional archiving, academic citation, and long-term dissemination.
